About the Event

An afternoon of song, narrative and multi-media exploring the  extraordinary life of Sweden’s Jenny Lind, the most famous singer of the  19th century. From penury she rose to unparalleled heights  as an opera and concert singer, mesmerizing queens and kings, as well as  people of all ages and financial strata. Her American tour, with  impresario P.T. Barnum, may well be considered the grandest in our  history. You’ll hear songs she sang, woven with a narrative of her life  and images of Lind in portrait and in costume. Performers include, Laura  Loge, soprano; Steven Luksan, pianist; and narrator, Kevin Hugh Lynch,  Jenny Lind Historian and Archivist.

This program is sponsored by  Whidbey’s Saratoga Orchestra.

Tickets $15 available at bayleaf-Coupeville, Click Music-Oak Harbor  and Blue Sound Music and at the door.  Covid-19 policy includes wearing  of masks and proof of vaccination or negative test 72 hours prior to the  event. The performers will not by masked. Information at www.sowhidbey.com.      (This is not a Nordic Lodge Event)
