About the Event
Our cultural program at this meeting will be about the "History of the Koshkonong Settlement" in southern Wisconsin, which at one time was the largest Norwegian-American community in America. Our speaker, Dana Kelly, will talk about some of the first settlers during the 1840s and what propelled growth to the area as well as a brief description of the communities there today. Dana is the Executive Director of the Norwegian American Genealogical Center in Madison, WI. Dana also serves on the board of directors for the Koshkonong Prairie Historical Society. If you are not a member of our Lodge but would like to attend this program, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will send you a link.
